Practicalities & Costs

I want accessing support to feel as straightforward and pressure-free as possible. Below you'll find how appointments work, session lengths, fees, and the different ways I offer support, so you have everything you need before we begin.

Appointments are available face-to-face or online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, depending on the service.

I work with adults, students, young people and children from the age of 7, supporting a wide range of experiences and difficulties. Alongside general psychotherapy, I have a particular interest and specialist knowledge in working with autistic, ADHD and AuDHD individuals. Every session is adapted to the person in front of me, their communication style, sensory needs and preferences, because there is no one-size-fits-all approach to feeling understood.

Getting to Know Me

If you'd like a feel for how I work before making contact, you might enjoy my podcast, Twice Translated. It's a relaxed, honest conversation exploring autism, ADHD, mental health and the everyday experiences that often go unseen.

Psychotherapy

£70 • 50 minutes

Psychotherapy is my core ongoing service, usually offered weekly or fortnightly. Every person's journey is different, but therapy tends to be most effective when there's consistency and time to build real trust between us.

Available online or face to face.

Understanding & Awareness Sessions

£75 • 50 minutes

These sessions are usually offered to family members, partners or significant others of someone already in therapy with me. They're designed to build understanding of autism, ADHD and AuDHD, and to gently bridge the Double Empathy Problem, helping everyone communicate and feel more connected to, and understood by, one another.

Therapeutic Consultation & Support

£80 • 60 minutes

Designed for people looking for guidance rather than ongoing therapy. These sessions create space for information, psychoeducation, signposting, neurodiversity-affirming support and gently exploring possible next steps. Many people find that one or two sessions are all they need.

A brief follow-up by email or telephone is included where appropriate.

Parent Consultation

£70 • 60 minutes

For parents of existing clients or parents considering therapy for their child, this is a space to talk through your concerns, receive guidance, and explore possible next steps at your own pace, before making any decisions.

ADHD Coaching (16+)

£90 • 60 minutes

Online only.

Coaching is generally offered weekly or fortnightly, supporting you to develop practical strategies, build self-understanding and work towards goals that genuinely matter to you.

Block booking available: 6 sessions for £500 when paid in advance.

A free 20-minute introductory call is available before starting.

Consultancy

Available for schools, children's residential homes and businesses.

£75 per hour.

Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Free 20-Minute Introductory Call

A free 20-minute telephone or video call is available before beginning psychotherapy or coaching. This gives us space to talk through what you're looking for, answer any questions, and gently work out together whether we're the right fit.

Payment & Cancellations

Payment is requested by bank transfer 24 hours before your appointment.

If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give at least 72 hours' notice wherever possible.

Appointments cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice will usually be charged at the full session fee, as the time has been reserved exclusively for you and is often difficult to offer to another client at short notice.

I understand that unexpected situations do arise. Wherever possible, I'll always approach these with fairness, compassion and understanding.

Professional Documentation

Professional letters, reports and assessment documentation are based on my clinical observations and professional judgement, so they're generally only available for existing clients, where I've had genuine opportunity to build an informed understanding of their individual needs.

Autism & ADHD Assessment Questionnaires £60

Completion of professional supporting questionnaires and forms for autism and ADHD assessment processes.

Professional Letters £25

Letters for schools, GPs, consultants, solicitors and other professionals.

Professional Reports £60

Comprehensive psychotherapy reports for professionals involved in a child's care.

Not Sure Which Service Is Right for You?

Every person is different, and sometimes the support you're looking for doesn't fit neatly into one category.

If you're unsure which service would suit you, or you're looking for something that isn't listed here, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'm always happy to have an initial conversation and help you find the support that's right for you.

I started seeing Carolyn around 18 months ago for anxiety in social situations and to help navigate university. From our first session together, I felt comfortable enough to be myself and fully relax.  Carolyn has been instrumental in my learning how to untangle and make sense of my thoughts and feelings and accept my true self.

Embarking on my therapy journey was possibly the best decision I've made and has changed my life in the most beautiful way. Thank you so, so much to such a wonderfully kind and knowledgeable person!
